I know that are some that aren’t worthy of the title but many work tirelessly and save lives. Without good nurses your stay in a hospital would be a health hazard or worse. Being a nurse is very important and definitely a profession!

Honestly they are overworked, with important, and simple responsibilities, that with an assistant it would ease their load. We need more of them, and more CNA’s, also. That’s where less red tape would come into play.

We’re in need of losts of medical workers, and possibly trained people, for particular jobs that would lighten the loads of the R.N. We need CNA’s, and more assistants , if the red tape was cut. Anyone person could choose to take all the training, and degree they wish to study, and graduate. It’s not saying that you don’t have to be educated to be a R.N. but by cutting the red tape to a certain degree that would help give others jobs, in the field. In return help our higher level Nurses. From what I’ve seen it would make a difference. They are pushed to their limit sometimes.

It removed those careers from the listing of professional degrees which had access to moneys and loans for those degrees. Effectively LIMITING access for people who want to pursue those degrees and professional titles. Nurses are very much needed in the medical field. Without nurses patient care would not exist. Doctors only give orders and do not do bedside care of the patients. I have been a nurse for over 50 years in all different fields and still have a license to care for those in need. I don’t seen doctors taking care of patients at the bedside 24/7. They come in for a short check and leave giving updated orders.
I think what President Trump wants is for more people to become Nurses, because we need more of them, but, to make it easier to get the jobs, in this field, maybe trained for particular jobs in the field that doesn’t take so long to become a R.N. The Red Tape is b,icking many from getting jobs. Ecsuse if regulations, a d requirement. People have gained certain knowledge these days without titles.
If nurses aren’t professionals, please tell me what professionals will do the work that nurses do? I doubt lawyers or engineers would do it, and doctors are spread too thin as it is. If this is intended to keep from importing foreign nurses, it doesn’t help to call nurses unprofessional. Besides, ask any hospital if they have enough nursing staff. I’m sure they will say not no, but hell no.
When people argue to show that their worth is more than someone else, it’s not only disgusting to immature, nurses are definitely needed well in the overall scheme of America today with our healthcare system so broken even doctors are becoming less needed. It’s important for everyone to understand that when you argue about self-worth, he will only fight a losing battle. this will also impact PA and NP’s and thus the load that those 2 branches of the nursing profession have taken off the medical Drs. half the people I know have an NP or a PA as the PCP. This decision is not well thought out. Everyone needs to write their congress people and protest it.

I’m reading the comments from obviously TDS fans. Our president is doing more for our country than any other president since JFK. The medical field is a disaster. For all of the schooling doctors receive, why can’t a surgeon perform as expected with little to no complications. Every single person I know who has had a surgery always has a compilation on one case it was fatal. Doctors maybe being trained, however big pharma is the dictator causing all of the problems in the medical field.

I’m not sure if it was retold in context. Too many people misquote of misunderstand Trump. He absolutely believes how important and professional nursing is, especially registered nurses and nurse practitioners. He most likely was referring to CNAs and LPNs. Because it is not a 4 to 8 year medical degree like the other two, and not as expensive I’m tired of people misquoting Trump.
For those who are criticizing: This applies to those who are applying for HN1 VISAS to live and work in the United States. President Trump has long said those visas should be for the cream of the crop, to increase the knowledge here. Neither President Trump or Secretary McMahon are denigrating any nursing degrees; those are not preferential incoming degrees for immigration.
