“I adore her natural look without makeup, but this feels like home,” a third person shared.

Not everyone agreed, though. One user commented, “I appreciated her natural beauty, but everyone has their own preferences.”

A look with significance

In recent years, Pamela has been recognized for her decision to go without makeup, a choice she connected to the loss of her close friend and longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who died of breast cancer in 2019.

“She was incredible. And since her passing, I’ve felt that it’s just better for me to skip the makeup,” Pamela told Elle in 2023.

That honesty is exactly what made her sudden return to full glam feel so unexpected to many fans.

During Paris Fashion Week in 2023, she spoke about her makeup-free journey, telling Vogue France: “I’m not aiming to be the most beautiful girl in the room. It feels like freedom. It’s liberating.”

Criticism following the Met Gala

Pamela’s openness about aging, identity, and self-image has positioned her as a strong voice for authenticity in Hollywood. Still, not every bold move is universally praised. Her appearance at this year’s Met Gala—where some even compared her to Joan of Arc—triggered mixed online reactions.

Many of the top comments on an E! News video featuring Pamela were far from complimentary.

“I admire her, but her stylist should be let go,” one Instagram user wrote.

“I understand it. I appreciate it. But I would really love to see her with some eyebrows,” another person commented.

Sources say Pamela’s shift away from heavy makeup wasn’t only personal—it was also strategic. An insider told the Daily Mail earlier this year that part of her motivation was to move beyond the “Barbwire image” and Baywatch persona, and to be recognized as a serious actor.

And in many ways, that transformation has paid off. Anderson received her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for her dramatic performance in The Last Showgirl, a major milestone that also earned her a SAG Award nomination.

Her evolution, then, isn’t just about appearance—it’s about growth.

“I try a little blush sometimes, a little lip color, you know, sometimes,” she explained, before adding, “But then I kind of go back to [natural].”

The 57-year-old has also received an outpouring of support from women around the world who relate to her decision to embrace a more natural look.

One fan wrote, “The best thing about being over 50 is not caring what other people think.”

Another added, “It’s liberating! I love that she has the confidence to go without makeup if she feels like it. Society needs to stop pulling people down.”

Is Pamela dating Tommy Lee again?

After her throwback appearance, some fans speculated that a personal shift might be happening too—especially after reports surfaced that her ex-husband Tommy Lee had separated from his wife, Brittany Furlan.

“She heard Tommy Lee was single again,” one commenter joked.

However, a source told TMZ that there’s no truth to the rekindled-romance rumors. According to the report, Pamela has no interest in revisiting her past with the Mötley Crüe drummer, with whom she shares two sons: Brandon Thomas, 27, and Dylan Jagger, 26.
